Find A Jewish Camp
Graduate Fellowship

With the goal of training the next generation of Jewish camp leaders, the Robert and Elisa Spungen Bildner Fellowship at Brandeis University will enable one graduate student per year to pursue a dual MA/MBA degree in Jewish Professional Leadership at Brandeis's Heller School for Social Policy and Management and at Hornstein: The Jewish Professional Leadership Program @ Brandeis.

Robert and Elisa Spungen Bildner Fellows will focus their coursework on leadership and management of Jewish camping and will be advised by a Hornstein faculty member with camping expertise. In addition to their academic coursework the Fellows will complete two summer camp internships, attend professional development opportunities offered by the Foundation, and dedicate themselves to working at a Jewish camp in a leadership role for three years following graduation.

Candidates should have a minimum of a 3.33/4.0 grade point average from an accredited four-year college. Eligible candidates, including camp leaders, who are interested in applying for the Robert and Elisa Spungen Bildner Fellowship must submit their application no later than January 7, 2008.

Interested candidates must also submit an application to the Brandeis University dual-degree program of the Heller School for Social Policy and the Hornstein Jewish Professional Leadership Program (application requirements can be found on the Brandeis web site). Fall 2008 applications for the program are due on January 7, 2008 and include a requirement that applicants submit GMAT scores. Pending acceptance to the Heller School and Hornstein Program, the annual Robert and Elisa Spungen Bildner Fellow will be chosen by the Foundation from among these qualifying candidates
